Luuk de Jong helped fire PSV Eindhoven past CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday night - and his brother Siem de Jong congratulated him on Twitter.
PSV were always expected to beat CSKA, and knew that a win would pile the pressure on second placed Manchester United, but Sergei Ignashevich's second half penalty threatened to send the Dutch champions out of the group stage.
However, De Jong drew PSV level before Davy Propper won it for Phillip Cocu's side, and with Manchester United losing 3-2 at Wolfsburg, PSV pipped the Red Devils to second place, handing them a place in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
It was a huge moment for Dutch football, and De Jong's part in that can't be understated, as he gave PSV the platform to go on and win the game.
After the final whistle, De Jong received a tweet from his older brother Siem, who congratulated the striker for his part in PSV's superb victory.
This will certainly be of interest to Newcastle fans, as Siem plays for the Magpies right now, whilst Luuk had a torrid loan spell with the club back in 2014.
Luuk's goalless loan spell saw him play 12 games for Newcastle as he was a major flop for the Magpies, with supporters no doubt confused as to how he not only fired PSV to Champions League glory against CSKA, but also hit 45 goals in his 67 appearances for the Dutch giants.
Meanwhile, Siem has had a stop-start career with Newcastle so far, but enjoyed a decent display against Liverpool on Sunday - and after seeing Luuk star in the Champions League, Siem will be hoping to follow suit this weekend as Newcastle take on Tottenham.
