Report: West Ham chasing Burnley right-back Tendayi Darikwa

Burnley FC - Turf Moor

The talented defender has been in great form this season at Turf Moor.

Reports yesterday suggested that West Ham United had joined the race for Burnley full-back Tendayi Darikwa.

TEAMtalk are reporting that West Ham sent scouts to watch the player recently, with Leicester City continuing to monitor his progress.

The dynamic right-back has been one of the most impressive players in the Championship this season after Burnley won the battle to sign him this summer.

The 23-year-old had impressed at previous club Chesterfield and Burnley beat other Championship teams to his coveted signature.

Now Premier League teams are looking and West Ham would certainly love to lure him to Upton Park.

West Ham could certainly use another right-back. Carl Jenkinson is their current incumbent but he is only on loan from Premier League rivals Arsenal.

With Mathieu Debuchy's future at The Emirates now looking in the balance Arsenal will be planning for a future which involves Jenkinson.

Darikwa would be an excellent signing and it would certainly be interesting to see if he could cut it in the Premier League.
