Tottenham are set to scout 20-year-old Polish international Karol Linetty on Thursday, the Daily Mail reports.
On the same day Spurs are playing Monaco, Mauricio Pochettino has sent scouts to keep an eye on the Europa League fixture between Basel and Lech Poznan, with Linetty set to star for the Polish side.
He will come up against Breel Embolo, the young Swiss striker who Spurs are also said to be keeping an eye on.
Linetty, 20, is a midfielder who has spent his entire carer in his homeland with Lech Poznan, going on to make 96 appearances for the side. An all-action presence in the middle of the field, he has scored nine goals and created nine more, all whilst playing as one of the deep-lying midfielders in a 4-2-3-1 system.
Spurs are known to have been long term admirers of the youngster, and this scouting trip comes six months after the Lilywhites had reportedly already agreed a deal with the young Polish international.
Back in June, Spurs were said to have reached an agreement to sign Linetty from Lech, as reported by transferring.pl. A transfer is claimed to have been all-but completed, but no deal was ever formalised, and the North London club have had to hold of signing him until the opening of the January transfer window next month.
