According to The Sun, Southampton are lining up a double swoop for Bordeaux duo Henri Saivet and Wahbi Khazri ahead of the January transfer window.
The Saints have won just two of their last seven games, and are without a win in their last three matches after a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon.
Manager Ronald Koeman brought in a handful of players over the summer including Cedric Soares, Virgil van Dijk, Jordy Clasie, Oriol Romeu and Maarten Stekelenburg, but more new signings during the January transfer window may be needed as Southampton look to get back on track.
As a result, The Sun report that Southampton have lined up January moves for Bordeaux pair Wahbi Khazri and Henri Saivet, who have been earning rave reviews in France.
Bordeaux are currently sat in mid-table of Ligue 1, but four goals and six assists from Tunisian international Khazri have been the highlight so far, with the 24-year-old causing plenty of problems thanks to his ability to shoot from range, create chances for his team-mates and trouble goalkeepers with his set pieces.
Meanwhile, former winger Saivet has converted to a central midfield role, and has been thriving ever since, living up to the potential he showed during his teenage years, adding two goals this season in the process - including a recent strike against Liverpool in the Europa League.
Both players will be on the radars of other Premier League clubs, and with Southampton needing reinforcements in January, Koeman will be hoping that he can secure deals for the pair and improve his midfield options.
