Tottenham Hotspur have an almost clean bill of health heading into their next match.
Tottenham Hotspur’s first-team squad have been taking part in training ahead of their Europa League match against AS Monaco on Thursday evening, and Spurs fans will be pleased to note that two of their previously injured stars took part.
In pictures published on Twitter by PA sports journalist Tom Allnutt (@tomallnuttpa) Nabil Bentaleb and Nacer Chadli were both seen in action despite both players being initially ruled out until mid-December.
It remains to be seen if either will feature against Monaco but it is great to see them back in training and leaves Spurs with just two players currently on the side-lines in the form of Alex Pritchard and Ryan Mason.
Another interesting point to note was the presence of winger Andros Townsend, who has recently been playing for Tottenham’s under-21s.
The England international’s future remains unclear but it seems he is at least back training with the senior side and he will no doubt be hoping for a chance to impress later this week.
Tottenham are currently top of Group J and have already reached the knockout stages but they will want to finish in fashion when they host third-placed Monaco at White Hart Lane.
