Mauricio Pochettino confirms Tottenham Hotspur aren't looking to make many additions in January

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a number of players in the January transfer window.

Mauricio Pochettino has told Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur do not intend to make many signings in the January transfer window.

Spurs have been linked with a number of players ahead of the new year, but Pochettino is keen not to disrupt his squad.

The Argentine boss insists that he is happy with the options he already has at White Hart Lane, and any business that Tottenham do in January will be minimal.

“Not too much, or maybe we don’t need to sign any players,” he said, when asked whether Spurs were intending to bring in players in January. “We are very happy with the squad that we have.”

Tottenham have made a wonderful start to the campaign, and they have gone unbeaten in their last 14 league matches.

The Lilywhites are on the verge of breaking into the top-four, and the temptation could have been to spend big to try and ensure that they get themselves over the line.

Tottenham have been linked with West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino in the Daily Mail and Alexandre Pato in the Independent.

However, Pochettino seems to feel that bringing in fresh faces could do more harm than good.

Tottenham have a very settled team, and that stability has served them well so far this term, launching them all the way up into fifth in the Premier League standings.
