Jonathan Calleri has been linked with a collection of the biggest teams in the Premier League, and he sent a cryptic message on his personal Twitter account last night suggesting he is about to leave current club Boca Juniors.
Gracias por todo y adios ..— Jonathan Calleri (@Jocalleri) December 8, 2015
The Tweet translates to ‘Thank you for everything and goodbye’ which implies that he is ready to depart Boca for greener pastures in the realm of European football.
The 22-year-old striker is hot property right now after his impressive return of 10 goals in 26 games in the 2015 season.
Chelsea have long been linked with him ahead of a January move for the young striker, as reported by the Star, but yesterday, hours before Calleri sent his tweet, a selection of other Premier League sides reportedly entered the race for him.
Calleri started his career with All Boys Buenos Aires, before linking up with Boca last summer. This season has seen him take the Primera Division by storm, as well as impressing in the Copa Libertadores.
It is no surprise that a number of teams want to bring him over to the Premier League in January, and it appears as if Calleri himself has already made his mind up to leave Boca when the transfer window opens.
