HITC Sport understands interest is mounting in former Peterborough United midfielder Daniel Kearns.
A host of clubs in England and Scotland are tracking former Peterborough United and Carlisle United midfielder Daniel Kearns, HITC Sport understands from sources close to a potential deal.
Kearns is currently plying his trade in the Northern Ireland Football League Premiership with Glenavon, after leaving Carlisle last summer.
The 24-year-old has been earning rave reviews at Glenavon since linking up with the club in October, and he has impressed with five goals in four appearances for the club.
Kearns only signed a short-term deal until January at Glenavon and the news of his availability in the New Year has alerted several sides in England and Scotland.
Glenavon are keen to keep hold of Kearns, but are bracing themselves for interest in the former West Ham United youngster when the transfer window reopens.
Kearns was spotted by West Ham playing for a local side in Northern Ireland and he spent three years at Upton Park without making a first-team appearance before joining Dundalk in the League of Ireland in 2010.
Kearns joined Peterborough United from Dundalk, and he made 37 appearances for Posh before taking in loan spells at York City, Rotherham United and Chesterfield, and then spent a year at Carlisle United.
