Fans react on Twitter to Garry Monk's Swansea sacking

Swansea City are now looking for a new manager after they parted company with the 36-year-old.

On Wednesday afternoon Swansea City announced that they had reluctantly parted company with manager Garry Monk after the club secured just one win in their last 11 Premier League matches.

That was worrying form, with the Swans dropping to 15th in the table as a result, just one point clear of the relegation zone, but it was a decision that many have reacted to with shock given just how well Monk did previously…and how much promise he has as a manager overall.

While Swansea have struggled in recent times they showed earlier in the campaign exactly what they are capable of, going undefeated in September, beating Manchester United and Newcastle United and taking a point away to Chelsea.

More recently things have taken a dip but Monk was building a very promising team at the Liberty Stadium and he deserved more time to see that through.
