HITC Sport understands in-form Oxford midfielder Liam Sercombe is a target for a number of clubs.
Sercombe has been a revelation for Oxford this season since joining the club in the summer from hometown outfit Exeter City.
The 25-year-old has scored nine goals from midfield so far this season to help Oxford to the top of League Two, and his performances have not gone unnoticed among clubs higher up the football pyramid.
The likes of Huddersfield Town, MK Dons and League One Millwall are all thought to be keeping tabs on Sercombe as they weigh up moves to bolster their squad when the transfer window reopens next month.
Oxford are bracing themselves for interest in the goalscoring midfielder, but are determined to keep Sercombe and would demand a fee in the region of £1million to even consider selling one of their star players in the New Year.
Sercombe came through the ranks at Exeter and despite being only 25, he boasts a wealth of experience having made over 280 appearances in his career to date.
