Newcastle returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a surprise 2-0 victory over Liverpool at St. James’ Park on Sunday evening.
It was a thoroughly deserved win for the Magpies, with the players showing desire, commitment and ability.
Former Arsenal striker Henry was impressed with the performance produced by Newcastle, but he has asked whether Steve McClaren’s side can maintain the same standard in the coming weeks.
"Steve McClaren said it himself, how many times have we seen it when a big team comes to St James Park and the desire is there, the commitment, everything," Henry told Sky Sports on Sunday. "Everything was spot on today and you could see it from the start.
“Can you do the same thing at the Lane? Can you do the same thing against Arsenal? Can you do the same thing away from home?
“That's the thing with Newcastle and we talk about the same thing every time and usually it doesn't happen. Let's see against Tottenham next week.”
Newcastle are still in danger of getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season, but the win against Liverpool will have boosted the players’ confidence.
The Magpies will face Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane this coming Sunday, and it will be interesting to see how they perform.
Spurs are unbeaten in the Premier League since the opening weekend of the season and will be favourites to win.
For McClaren’s side to come away with even a point from North London, the players will have to be on top of their game right from the first minute.
