Former Queens Park Rangers forward Rodney Marsh has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Harry Kane will eventually leave Tottenham Hotspur.
Kane has been on the books of Premier League outfit Tottenham since 2004 and has a contract until June 2020.
The 22-year-old striker enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2014-15 and has been in good form so far this campaign.
The England international scored 21 goals and created 27 chances in 34 Premier League appearances last season.
So far this campaign, Kane has scored eight goals and created 16 chances in 15 league matches for Spurs.
According to The Daily Star, Premier League giants Manchester United are interested in the youngster and are planning a £50 million move for him in the summer transfer window.
“If Spurs keep progressing, he could the player they build the team around. They could break the wage structure for him.
“If they sell Harry Kane in the next couple of years, could you imagine the uproar? He’s one of their own, and Tottenham have not sold a player like him.”
Former QPR and Manchester City forward Marsh disagrees with Murphy’s bold claim and has posted the following message on Twitter in response.
