Leeds United and Rotherham United will go head-to-head in the third round of this season's FA Cup.
Redfearn was previously the head of Leeds’ academy before he took on the manager’s role at Elland Road, but he was later replaced by Uwe Rosler, who in turn has now had his seat taken by Steve Evans.
That is the man who will come up against Redfearn’s Rotherham side in January as the two clubs bid to reach the fourth round of the famous competition, and given the duo’s struggles in the Championship this season the cup could be a welcome distraction.
Speaking to themillers.co.uk, Redfearn said, “Ideally for the FA Cup you want a home draw, but it is a great tie for us against one of the biggest clubs in the country.”
Redfearn knows very well what Leeds have to offer and many of the young players Evans is likely to call on will have come through the ranks under the former’s tutelage.
When the two sides recently met in the league Rotherham ran out 1-0 winners and Leeds will want to get revenge for that setback.
