Drinkwater, a former Manchester United prospect, has been in superb form for the Foxes so far this season.
In 15 Premier League appearances so far this campaign, the 25-year-old midfielder has created 22 chances, has a pass accuracy of 79% and a shot accuracy of 38%, and has won 16 headers, 11 dribbles and 28 tackles.
Redknapp has been impressed with the performances of Drinkwater and has written in The Daily Mail: “When Gokhan Inler signed in the summer, no-one expected Drinkwater to get a look-in but the fact he has restricted the Swiss international to two starts shows how much he has improved.
“He covers ground, can pass the ball, is strong in the tackle and his performances are up there with some of the Premier League's best.”
Leicester are having a great season and are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment.
Claudio Ranieri’s side are two points clear of second-place Arsenal and are playing good football.
Winning the league is probably beyond Leicester, but a top-four or a top-six finish is certainly within their reach.
The Foxes will return to Premier League action next week when they take on Chelsea at the King Power Stadium.
