Everton drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace at Goodison Park yesterday evening.
Craig Bellamy and Jamie Carragher have both agreed on Sky Sports Monday Night Football, which was broadcast on November 7th, that Everton will finish higher than Crystal Palace at the end of the season.
Everton drew 1-1 with Palace at Goodison Park yesterday evening, in what was an entertaining match.
At the moment Palace are in sixth place in the Premier League table, while Everton sit in ninth, but Bellamy expects their positions to change by the end of the season.
“Just in general quality I would say Everton [will finish higher],” Bellamy said. “I just feel they have knowhow and experience. They have been in this position a number of times before, but this is new for Palace.”
Carragher agreed with his fellow pundit, who replaced Gary Neville in the Sky Sports studio, after the former Manchester United defender agreed to become manager of Valencia.
“I certainly think Everton will finish just above Palace,” Carragher said.
Both Everton and Palace have put together impressive starts to the season.
The Toffees have looked very dangerous going forward, and Alan Pardew has also assembled a quality squad at Selhurst Park.
At the moment Palace have a one-point advantage over Roberto Martinez’s side.
Everton are expected to climb higher than ninth by the end of the season, but Palace have already expressed their desire to claim a European spot.
