Ian Taylor’s reaction to Newcastle win sums up Aston Villa’s precarious position

Aston Villa, Sunderland, Newcastle United, Bournemouth, Norwich City and Swansea City are all in danger of getting relegated.

Former Aston Villa midfielder Ian Taylor has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United’s win against Liverpool on Sunday evening.

Newcastle returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a surprise 2-0 victory over Liverpool at St. James’ Park.

Taylor was following the match, and he was far from pleased with the final result.

The frustrations of Taylor, who also played for Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County, will be shared by all Villa fans.

Villa are at the foot of the Premier League table at the moment with just six points from 15 matches.

Sunderland are six points above the Villans, while Newcastle are seven points ahead of Remi Garde’s side.

Bournemouth are level on points with third-from-bottom Newcastle and 16th-place Norwich City, while Swansea City are a point above them.

This means that Villa are as many as seven points from safety at the moment, and it looks likely that they will get relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season.
