Aston Villa supporters have been left less than impressed by Jack Grealish’s performance for their development side on Monday.
Grealish has been banished to Villa’s under-21 team by Remi Garde, and he has not played in either of the senior side's last two matches.
The youngster played for Villa’s under-21’s against Derby County on Monday, but his performance fell short of what was expected of him.
Many had predicted that Grealish would find it too easy to play for Villa’s development team, but he failed to make much of an impression.
Although the Claret and Blues beat Derby 2-1, the attacking midfielder did little of note in the fixture.
Grealish is expected to come back into Villa’s first team soon, but some of their supporters have suggested that he shouldn’t be brought straight back into the starting line-up.
Sections of Villa’s support have suggested that Grealish has become too complacent, and they want to see him putting in more effort to impress Garde.
Here is the best reaction from Villa supporters to Grealish’s latest performance on social media site Twitter.
Tidy win for the U21s, Kozak proven he deserves a place in the squad. Grealish almost looked as clumsy as me, v.sluggish on the ball #AVFC— Reece (@ReeceTheVillain) December 7, 2015
If that waster Grealish had 1/10th of Barkley's work ethic then he might stand a chance, but he'd rather go clubbing than train hard #avfc— T Smith (@nafallivnotsa) December 7, 2015
I see Grealish not doing a lot for u21s tonight but some #avfc fans still want him playing for the first team. Has to earn the shirt— Ram (@Villa_til_i_die) December 7, 2015
Jack Grealish returned to action for Aston Villa after his exile but found his appearance upstaged by Libor Kozak, another senior player— Patti Blum (@BlumPatti) December 8, 2015
@lVillaTill didn't really see how you could say that Grealish looked sharp, look opposite IMO— Villa (@avtalks74) December 7, 2015
