Sheffield Wednesday played out a goalless draw with Derby County in the Championship on Sunday afternoon.

Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the performance of Liam Palmer against Derby County at home on Sunday afternoon.

The 24-year-old, who can feature as a central midfielder or as a right-back, started the Championship game at the Hillsborough Stadium and played for the entire 90 minutes.

Palmer had a pass accuracy of 61%, put in 10 crosses, attempted two dribbles, and made one interception, two clearances and one block.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Hillsborough Stadium, hosts Wednesday had 51% of the possession, took 10 shots of which just one was on target, and earned five corners.

Wednesday are seventh in the Championship table at the moment with 29 points from 19 matches, level on points with sixth-place Cardiff City and behind only on goal difference.

Palmer was named the ‘Man of the Match’, but not all Wednesday fans agreed with the decision.
