Tom Adeyemi points out a main reason behind win against Hull

Leeds United bounced back from the defeat to Queens Park Rangers with victory over Hull City at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds United midfielder Tom Adeyemi has told The Yorkshire Evening Post that the fans were a main reason behind his side’s win against Hull City at the weekend.

The Whites returned to winning ways in the Championship on Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 success over Hull at Elland Road.

Steve Evans’s side had headed into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.

The performance against QPR in London was far from impressive, but the players stepped up their game against promotion-chasing Hull.

Adeyemi has stated that the Leeds fans at Elland Road played an important role in the win and has told The Yorkshire Evening Post: “Fans are entitled to their opinion so it’s not for me to say if what happened last week was right or wrong.

“It was disappointing to hear but maybe that spurred us on to beat Hull. Maybe we tried our best to prove them wrong.

“The fans were great and really got behind us. When they do that there are no other fans like them in the league.”

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Elland Road, hosts Leeds had 40% of the possession, took 11 shots of which six were on target, and earned two corners.

Leeds are 17th in the Championship table at the moment with 22 points from 19 matches, just six points above the relegation zone.
