Everton will host Palace at Goodison Park in the Premier League this evening, and Owen has backed the home team to register a 2-1 victory.
“Everton v Crystal Palace rounds off the Colossus on Monday night, and 2-1 to the home side gets my vote,” the former Newcastle United striker has written on Colossusbets.com.
“Palace are a match for the best on their day, as they showed in a 2-1 win at Anfield last month, but they do blow hot and cold and they may find this visit to Merseyside less profitable.
“Everton are unbeaten in their last six games in all competitions, and have goals in them, although they do concede their fair share, too.”
Former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United manager Harry Redknapp has also backed Everton to win 2-1 against Palace.
“Everton 2–1 Crystal Palace – Palace have gone and beaten Everton two years in a row up there but Everton are strong at the moment,” the Englishman has written on his official Facebook page. “I’d go for a home win.”
Everton are 11th in the Premier League table at the moment with 21 points from 14 matches, eight points behind fourth-place Manchester United with a game in hand.
The Toffees will head into this evening’s encounter against Palace on the back of a 2-0 victory over Middlesbrough away from home at the Riverside Stadium in the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup.
Meanwhile, Palace currently find themselves eighth in the standings with 22 points from 14 games.
Alan Pardew’s side will head into the match against Everton on the back of a 5-1 hammering of Newcastle United at Selhurst Park in London.
