However, Pochettino was still pleased with the desire his players showed during the contest – and moved to praise them for showing such energy after the game.
“I’m not satisfied [with a point], but the effort was brilliant from my team,” he said. “The feeling is that we dropped two points. It was a very difficult game.”
Tottenham struggled to get going throughout the contest against West Brom, with the conditions seemingly playing a part in stifling their play.
While Tony Pulis’ side set deep, the strong winds meant that Spurs failed to find the required accuracy in their passing to break the hosts down on many occasions.
In the end, Tottenham could have lost the match, but a battling display from the team ensured that they extended their impressive unbeaten record.
Spurs have now managed to avoid defeat in their last 14 Premier League matches, but they will be eager to start turning draws to wins on a more regular basis, as they try to break into the top-four.
