Glenn Hoddle suggested on the Matchday Live with Fletch & Sav show on BT Sport 1 on Saturday morning (December 5) that Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will be a success at Queens Park Rangers.
“I think that's perfect,” said former QPR first-team coach Hoddle on the Matchday Live with Fletch & Sav show on BT Sport 1 on Saturday morning (December 5). “He (Hasselbaink) has cut his teeth a little bit, he has done a fantastic job (at Burton Albion). He really has.
"He can now go into that (Rangers) job confident that if he does well there for three years, then there is another job up the pecking order.”
Former Netherlands international striker Hasselbaink was in charge of Burton Albion from November 2014 until last week.
The Dutchman guided the Brewers to promotion to League One from League Two at the end of last season.
Hasselbaink has shown what he is capable of, and his primary task at QPR will be to guide the team to a top-six finish in the Championship this season.
Rangers are 12th in the Championship table at the moment with 26 points from 19 matches.
The London outfit are just three points behind Cardiff City, who are currently sixth and occupy the final playoff spot.
