Golden Balls loves the ruggers... who'd have thought it!
Think of rugby and you think of some massive blokes knocking each other about a bit.
When you think of David Beckham, a few things come to mind. He was a dead-ball genius, he was a great England captain and he had some mad haircuts over the years.
But there's certainly one thing that we wouldn't associate the famous number 7 with... rugby. You really couldn't imagine Golden Balls getting involved in a scrum or being brave enough to face up to a massive and terrifying New Zealand prop.
However, it turns out that Becks is a = big fan of the egg-shaped sport. Speaking to the Radio Times. he said: "I love rugby. I love watching it and I love the whole thing. I have enjoyed going to Twickenham more than I have enjoyed watching football."
For a man who won the Champions League, played at three World Cups for his country and played with Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane, this is a pretty bold statement!
So why does Beckham love the ruggers more than the footie? Well, it might have something to do with the people he has to sit with at the football and, we'll be honest, he might have a point here.
Beckham told the Radio Times that rugby fans are: "People sitting together with no nastiness.". And we've all been to a football game where you're sat with people arguing and threatening each other... it's a great way to spend £40 and a Saturday afternoon.
We'd love to see Beckham come out of retirement and play a few games of rugby... we know he likes having a tussle with some players.
