Tom Adeyemi explains how Leeds players cope with the club's off-field distractions

The 24-year-old midfielder has been discussing how the Leeds squad deal with external distractions.

Tom Adeyemi insists the Leeds United players don't get distracted by the often controversial news that surrounds the club, according to BBC Radio Leeds.

Indeed, Adeyemi, who scored in Yorkshire on Saturday afternoon, says it's the job of the squad not to be distracted by any headlines Leeds make off the pitch - of which there have often been plenty.

And the 24-year-old told BBC Radio Leeds after Saturday's 2-1 win over Hull City at Elland Road: "No, it's our job. Leeds United at the moment are getting a little bit more press than other Championship clubs.

"But, for us it's just about getting on with it. We're not happy with how things have gone and we're trying to put that right. It's hard to say [what we can achieve]. We're capable of beating anyone but we lost at home to Rotherham so it's all about consistency."

The latest Elland Road story is 'pie-tax' gate and there is never certainty from one day to the next with owner Massimo Cellino.

Right now, of course, the Italian will be feeling positive - and so too head coach Steve Evans - because Leeds' 2-1 win over Hull City was certainly an impressive one.

Next up for the Whites in the Championship is a trip to Charlton Athletic, which should provide a solid chance to earn back-to-back wins for the second time under Evans. Let's hope Adeyemi and co can remain undistracted if anything else comes up surrounding Leeds United in the coming days and weeks...
