Kieran Tierney has made eight appearances for Celtic's first team so far this season.
Kieran Tierney has told Celtic’s official site that he still cannot believe the role he has been given by Ronny Deila.
Tierney has played eight times for Celtic’s first team so far this season, and he has been given opportunities in both European and domestic action.
The 18-year-old now seems to be establishing his position as the Bhoys’ first choice left-back, and the academy graduate is loving receiving so many first team opportunities.
“It’s still hard to believe, playing for Celtic and starting matches in the first-team. I just need to take it all in and make the most of it,” Tierney said.
“Everything that’s happened recently is hard to take in. I just see myself as still being a Celtic fan. It’s brilliant. I need to appreciate every moment I have with the first-team and make the most of it.”
Tierney has coped impressively with every challenge that has been thrown at him during his Celtic career to date.
The full-back has been fearless in his attacking intent, while he has also looked solid defensively.
Tierney appears to be one of the most exciting talents to have progressed at Celtic for a number of years, and he looks set to stay in their first team for the foreseeable future.
The youngster will be hoping that play his part in a title success too, as Deila’s side look to defend their SPFL crown again.
As things stand, Celtic are four points clear at the top of Scotland’s top-flight, and they have a game in hand over their nearest rivals, Aberdeen.
