The West Ham United winger had more time to impress against Manchester United.
West Ham United’s summer signing Michail Antonio has had to wait patiently for his chances to impress this season, with the 25-year-old making just two brief substitute appearances in the league prior to Saturday.
However, against Manchester United the former Nottingham Forest player was called on just 37 minutes into the game, replacing Victor Moses, and Antonio wasted little time trying to make his mark on the clash.
Ultimately the two sides failed to break each other down and the match ended 0-0, but West Ham had the better chances and their manager Slaven Bilic will no doubt be disappointed not to have added to the scalps they have already claimed away from Upton Park this season.
Antonio should get more chances to impress in the coming weeks, with the matches coming thick and fast over the festive period and injuries taking their toll on this impressive Hammers’ squad.
