Carvalhal was appointed at the start of the campaign, and he has had to oversee the arrival of a huge amount of new players.
The Owls were very active in the summer transfer window, but their newly assembled squad has taken no time to settle in.
And, after Wednesday picked up a 0-0 draw against high-flying Derby County earlier today, Carvalhal was keen to point out the strength of his achievement.
CC: We have been here for just five months and to create this kind of team is amazing, we are in a very good way #swfcLIVE— Sheffield Wednesday (@swfc) December 6, 2015
Wednesday have now lost just two of their last 16 matches in all competitions, and they were impressive against Derby.
Although neither side were able to make the breakthrough in the contest, they both looked well organised and confirmed why they are both contenders to be promoted this season.
As things stand Wednesday are in seventh place in the Championship table, while the Rams are in third.
Carvalhal’s side next fixture comes against Cardiff City on Saturday, and a win will take them into the play-off spaces.
