Pochettino explains what he thinks of supporter criticism of Daniel Levy

The Tottenham boss has been discussing his employer.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has heaped praise on chairman Daniel Levy, according to the Daily Mirror.

Indeed, the manager feels supporter criticism of the businessman is unfair due to fans not possessing all the available information about the role Levy plays at White Hart Lane.

And Pochettino has spoken in glowing terms of his relationship with the chairman and the job that is carried out in north London. The Tottenham boss even thinks Levy has been particularly kind with him, considering his reputation of sacking managers in the past.

The Argentine told reporters: "For me, it’s unfair. Because sometimes it’s difficult to have all the information, for you and for our supporters.

"For me, Daniel is a brilliant man. After 18 months, I can judge him and I don’t care about the past because it’s impossible to give an opinion about the past.

"Before I arrived all I heard was that he sacked managers and was very tough. He has been really kind with me. He is a president who cares a lot about the club and the people."

It's not unheard of for a manager to heap praise on his boss... Right now, meanwhile, everything is going smoothly at Tottenham, so why would anyone complain?

Plenty of criticism was aimed at Levy in August and since, however, over the north London club's failure to sign a new centre-forward.

It's all well and good praising the chairman, of course, before January. The winter transfer window will no doubt provide a big test for the Spurs supremo. It's how he handles that that will determine the level of criticism he gets.
