Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has taken to social networking site Twitter to dismiss recent claims about his injury.
According to The Guardian, there is no medical cure for the heel injury that forced the England international to miss three months of Liverpool’s season.
The former Sunderland star, though, has insisted that this is not the case, making it clear on Twitter that he just needs to manage the situation for the time being.
I think the injury has been blown out of proportion. I won't be in pain the rest of my career, I just need to manage it for the time being..— Jordan Henderson (@JHenderson) December 5, 2015
It's feeling much better now but just need to be careful with it. Thanks for all your support!— Jordan Henderson (@JHenderson) December 5, 2015
Henderson has been on the books of Liverpool since 2011 and is one of the most improved players in the Premier League.
The return to full fitness of the 25-year-old is good news for the Reds, who are playing well at the moment and are in good form under new manager Jurgen Klopp.
It will not be easy for Henderson to reclaim his place in the Liverpool starting lineup rightaway, but he will certainly have a big role to play for the Reds as the season progresses.
