Ian Harte is hoping Leeds United can beat Hull City this afternoon.
Leeds United hero Ian Harte has taken to Twitter to issue a rallying cry to the Elland Road supporters ahead of their clash with Hull City today.
The former left back became a Leeds fan favourite during the club's Premier League days, hitting 39 goals in 288 games for the club in a hugely successful spell.
The Irishman announced his retirement from football in August, and he has now been looking at the fortunes of his former club.
Leeds aren't having the best of seasons, and are already on their second manager of the campaign after Steve Evans replaced Uwe Rosler in the Elland Road dugout.
The Whites have lost their last two games under Evans, both to 1-0 scorelines, and need a response against 4th placed Hull City today.
Ahead of that game, Harte has taken to Twitter to wish Leeds luck in this crucial clash, and hopes that the disgruntled Elland Road crowd can get behind the players despite their frustrations.
Harte added that the players need to give Leeds something to shout about, having lost their last home game 1-0 against Rotherham United.
