The 28-year-old midfielder disappointed Hull fans against Leeds on Saturday afternoon.
Hull City fans were naturally left disappointed after seeing their side lose 2-1 at Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.
Hull came into the clash as the team to beat, sitting near the top of the Championship table while Leeds headed into proceedings off the back of two defeats.
Goals from Chris Wood and Tom Adeyemi gave the Whites a 2-0 lead, though, and the Tigers could only muster one goal back in the second half.
Hull still sit fourth in the Championship table, only four points off the automatic promotion places. But some fans were extremely frustrated with Steve Bruce on Twitter after the game - and even more so Tom Huddlestone.
Indeed, many suggest it's not a coincidence that the 28-year-old plays whenever Hull seem to lose. Perhaps it's case of them losing whenever he plays.
Is the criticism of the midfielder harsh or are supporters right? They were left very unhappy with Huddlestone for his performance against Leeds and, subsequently, unhappy with Bruce for continually sticking with him. Here's a selection of what Hull fans said on social media after the Leeds loss:
Now I know it's not down to one player but... With Huddlestone starting: P12 W4 D5 L3 PPG- 1.41 Without: P7 W6 D0 L1 PPG- 2.57 #hcafc— Rick (@HullCityLive) December 5, 2015
If they weren't big names, Huddlestone and Diame wouldn't get near this team #hcafc— Jack Storey (@thestoreymaker) December 5, 2015
Embarrassing performance. Huddlestone was awful once again. Bruce seriously needs to change his tactics #hcafc— Daisy Young (@daisy_young15) December 5, 2015
How long before we realise it isn't a coincidence that our worst results come with Huddlestone starting? #hcafc— Hull City Aus (@HullCityAFCAus) December 5, 2015
The wheels have come off. Reasons in no particular order: Huddlestone, no strikers, players out of position, lack of motivation. #hcafc— J.D Brunton (@Clement_Attlee) December 5, 2015
