David Gold makes his opinion about Louis van Gaal known

Manchester United and West Ham United will face each other in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has revealed on the club’s official website that he finds Louis van Gaal’s press conferences amusing.

Gold, though, does have respect for the Manchester United manager, who he believes is one of the big characters in the Premier League.

“We are coming up against one of the big characters in the Premier League when we face Louis van Gaal,” the 79-year-old wrote on West Ham’s official website.

“He can be very amusing in his press conferences, but we hope he will not have too much to smile about after the game.”

United and West Ham will face each other at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

It promises to be a very competitive match, one which Gold will want the Hammers to win.

Slaven Bilic’s side are not in good form at the moment and have not won in their last four Premier League games.

Although West Ham have played well away from home and have earned positive results, United will head into Saturday’s encounter as favourites.

The London outfit are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment, while Van Gaal’s Red Devils are a point behind leaders Manchester City in third.
