The young forward has been a breakout star for the Black Cats this season.
The 21-year-old has broken into the Black Cats first team this season, with him recently scoring his third first team goal of the season in the win over Stoke City.
His performances have offered rare cause for optimism among the Sunderland faithful, with the club once again fighting against relegation this season.
Pantilimon, however, says his teammates are not surprised by his displays, with the young forward keeping the rest of the squad on their toes in training.
“Duncan has been keeping us on our toes in training,” he told safc.com.
“You have to concentrate when you play against him because he’s very unpredictable. He’s a good lad and a very quick player, but he’s also very strong.”
“This season he’s been doing brilliantly and I hope he can help us in every game, and he’s also a young guy so I’m sure he will improve more and more.”
With Sunderland once again fighting against relegation, Black Cats fans will be hoping that Watmore can be the difference for them this season.
Allardyce’s side are currently 17th in the table on 12 points, just two points above Bournemouth and Newcastle United, who are 18th and 19th at present.
Looking up the table, though, they are only three points behind Chelsea in 15th position, meaning that they are within touching distance of escaping the relegation dog fight.
With back to back wins now under their belt, the Black Cats will be hoping that Watmore can help them to start climbing up the table heading into the busy festive period.
