Rodney Marsh gives his verdict on Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink

Queens Park Rangers are set to appoint Burton Albion boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink as their new manager.

Rodney Marsh has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink would be a good managerial appointment for Queens Park Rangers.

HITC Sport reported earlier this week that Hasselbaink, who is in charge of Burton Albion at the moment, has agreed to become the new manager of QPR.

Former QPR forward Marsh seems to believe that the ex-Leeds United and Chelsea striker would do a good job at Loftus Road.

Former Netherlands international striker Hasselbaink has been in charge of Burton since November 2014.

The Dutchman guided the Brewers to promotion to League One from League Two at the end of last season.

Burton are on course to winning promotion to the Championship, as they are doing exceptionally well in League One at the moment.

Hasselbaink’s side are at the top of the league table at the moment with 41 points from 20 matches, two points clear of second-place Coventry City.

Meanwhile, QPR are currently 11th in the Championship table with 26 points from 19 matches, just two points behind sixth-place Birmingham City.
