The Spaniard says the consistency shown by the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Gerard Deulofeu is what sets them apart.
The Blues have a number of young players in their side at present, with all of them starring at some stage this season.
John Stones, Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley have continued their development from the last few seasons, while Gerard Deulofeu has returned to Goodison Park and excelled at the beginning of this campaign.
And Martinez says that consistency from his young stars is what makes them special.
“I think what’s important about young players is that anyone can get carried away and we’ve done that over the last few years in the British game,” he said in his pre-match press conference, shown on the club’s YouTube channel.
“In our case, we’ve been very cautious and given them important roles in our football team.
“If you talk about Barkley, Lukaku, Deulofeu, Stones and Galloway, they’ve been consistent for two years. They haven’t just shown glimpses here and there, they are reliable.”
Of all his young stars, it is surely Deulofeu and Lukaku that will have pleased Martinez the most this season.
The young duo have formed a deadly partnership so far, with the Spaniard now only second behind Mesut Ozil for assists in the Premier League - an impressive tally.
Most of those have been for Lukaku, who is fast becoming the type of striker that Everton paid big money to secure from Chelsea with the number of goals he is scoring.
Martinez will be hoping that both can continue their fine form when they take on Crystal Palace on Monday evening.
