Tottenham are set to offer new contracts to the four key first-team players.
Eriksen, Lamela and Chadli all signed five-year deals with Spurs when they arrived at White Hart Lane in the summer of 2013. This means their current contracts do not expire for another two-and-a-half years, but talks have already been opened with the priority to extend their deals in the second half of this season.
For Dembele, his deal expiries in the summer of 2017 having arrived in the summer of 2012. The tying up of his future is most pressing, having seen the 28-year-old midfielder excel this season with arguably his best run of form since arriving in North London.
All four players have been central to Tottenham’s recent success, and most important, they appear to have bought into Mauricio Pochettino’s coaching methods - and improved because of this.
They have established themselves as some of the best players in the Premier League, and all still have room for improvement and development under Pochettino.
Their contracts still do not expire for a few years yet, but with big clubs circling, Spurs want to tie them down at White Hart Lane as soon as possible.
