The Daily Record reported yesterday that Gutkovskis had agreed a deal to head to Ibrox on a trial spell, following the end of the Latvian league season,
An Under-21 international for Latvia, Gutkovskis spent the 2015 league campaign with Skonto Riga in his homeland. He netted 10 goals in 22 games this term, helping the club finish second in table, taking his career tally up to an impressive 45 goals in 73 appearances for the club.
With the Latvian league now finished ahead of the winter period, Gutkovskis has arrived at Murray Park to work under Mark Warburton and try to earn a permanent switch to Rangers.
The Scottish Sun Sport Twitter account also posted a different training photo of Gutkovskis, although Warburton did not speak about the striker in his weekly press conference yesterday afternoon.
There are no indications as to whether Rangers are set to offer Gutkovskis a permanent contract at Ibrox, and next week should give some more clarifications as to the Gers potentially signing the Latvian striker.
