For a change, Paul Merson has tipped Manchester United to win this weekend.
Paul Merson has told SkySports he believes Manchester United will beat West Ham this weekend.
The former Arsenal midfielder has been critical of the Red Devils in recent weeks, controversially telling SkySports a fortnight ago that he believes Louis van Gaal's side will finish outside the Premier League top four.
United currently sit in third in the table, just one point off the top, and Merson admits that the fact he is tipping them to win against the Hammers is notable.
He said: "It's unusual for me but I'm siding with Manchester United!
"They aren't playing well but they just don't lose. There's certainly something about Louis van Gaal's side. I'm going for a 2-0 United win because West Ham have hit a bit of a brick wall after their brilliant early season form."
This is a match where Merson could have put up a credible argument for West Ham pulling off an away win.
They have beaten Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City away from home this season, but their last two games on their travels have ended in defeats, losing to Watford and then hammered 4-1 by rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
A win will recapture the buzz around Slaven Bilic's side, who still sit eighth in the Premier League table heading into a vital month of the season.
