Boro fans were pleased with the 27-year-old... eventually.
It was very much a tale of two halves for Middlesbrough supporters on Friday night. Indeed, many questioned what Albert Adomah was offering Aitor Karanka's side before half-time, when the visitors were drawing 0-0 with Ipswich Town.
After the break, however, fans were delighted with the forward as he netted during a brilliant half for the away side.
Middlesbrough ended up two-goal winners against Mick McCarthy's men and - even if just temporarily - are now top of the Championship table.
And supporters were left impressed by a team who have just notched three wins in a row in the Championship. Is it Karanka's year?
There's plenty of competition up there but Ipswich, just outside the play-offs, were no pushovers and the likes of Adomah, David Nugent and Christian Stuani all pleased fans as Middlesbrough's positive reaction to their 3-0 defeat to Hull continued.
Here's how supporters reacted on Twitter as Adomah thrived in the second half despite a quieter first-half showing. It's all systems go for the Boro at the moment, with Birmingham City and Burnley up next in the second tier...
Adomah thou...... Old fashioned winger, tricky, takes on defenders and always delivers a cross #boro— The 12th man (@baxters_wingman) December 4, 2015
Been so much better this half, especially Adomah. Great cross, great goal. #Boro— Kabir (@kabirdave2005) December 4, 2015
