The Gunners will have to get over their injury crisis with a busy period in front of them.
The Gunners are currently fourth in the table and two points off joint leaders Manchester City and Leicester City.
The usually hectic Christmas period sees them facing five games before the New Year, a tough ask for any side, but even more so for Arsene Wenger’s team, given their injury troubles at present.
And Oxlade Chamberlain is aware of how crucial a good December will be, but he is sure that they will respond to the challenges ahead in a positive manner.
“It is always really important because the games come thick and fast and if you have a good Christmas it can really start your new year off well,” he told arsenal.com.
“We are only two points off top spot, so it’s vital to capitalise on this period because I do think it's never easy for any side.”
“Only being two points off the top, [if we have a good run] that would mean us staying right up there, if not going top of the table, going into the new year.”
Despite losing several key stars for such an important period, the Gunners will still be confident of collecting several positive results, given the games they face.
Up next are Sunderland, who are currently just two points outside the relegation zone, while after that are Aston Villa, who are currently rooted to the foot of the Premier League table.
The biggest game will obviously be the clash with Manchester City, with that result sure to play a big role in who finishes top come the end of the season.
