The Gunners are not interested in the young England defender, despite recent reports.
The Blues youngster has continued his rapid rise over the last few seasons, putting in a number of impressive performances once again this term.
His undeniable talent has not gone unnoticed, with some of the biggest clubs in England and Europe reportedly keeping a close eye on his progress at Goodison Park.
Arsenal, though, are not among them, with Arsene Wenger confirming that they are not interested in signing the England starlet.
“I didn’t ask the board anything. It’s not the board who buys the players,” he told arsenal.com.
“We are not after John Stones if that’s what you want to know, we are focused on tomorrow’s game.
“At the moment, what is more important is to show how strong we are mentally with what happened to us, and that we respond in a very positive way.”
While Wenger has ruled out a move fro John Stones at present, there is no denying that he would be an excellent addition to Arsenal’s squad.
The Gunners have been lacking in defence for a number of seasons, with it often being cited as one of the weaker areas of their team.
However, they have their own talented English centre back on the books in the shape of Calum Chambers, and are likely eyeing him taking up a regular first-team spot in the near future.
