The ex-Queens Park Rangers forward has been discussing the former head coach.
Indeed, Marsh says the great thing about an appointment is that he can step in as interim manager if things don't work out.
Unsurprisingly, however, it seems there is a hint of sarcasm to his view...
Great thing about Chris Ramsey being number two is, if JFH doesn't work out Chris is perfectly placed to be interim manager— Rodney Marsh (@RodneyMarsh10) December 3, 2015
QPR travel to Reading tonight and, despite what may seem like contrasting starts to the season, the west London side are only four points behind Steve Clarke's men.
The R's sit 12th in the Championship table, while Reading are ninth, only one point off the play-offs. That means QPR's win over Leeds has them just five points off the play-offs, leaving their potential new manager in a good position.
Should Hasselbaink take the job at Loftus Road and continue where he left off at Burton Albion, the west London outfit could enjoy a successful season after all.
But would promotion be a good thing for QPR considering the way they are run, anyway? Perhaps another season in the Championship - with some stability and consolidation - would be best.
