The English goalkeeper has been out of action recently.
Crystal Palace goalkeeper Alex McCarthy has been out of first-team contention for some time now. The English keeper started the season as the Palace number one but lost his place to in form Wales custodian Wayne Hennessey in September but he has not been on the bench for the club since October - with Julian Speroni instead getting the nod.
McCarthy had appeared for the Under-21s in November but has been a missing man in recent weeks.
But it would appear he was out injured, as he suggested with this tweet earlier today.
Good to be back fully training now, also thanks for all the birthday messages pic.twitter.com/Ll8ngxqRm5— Alex McCarthy (@Alex_Macca23) December 3, 2015
McCarthy started the season in fine form in August and was even being tipped with a call-up to the England national team.
However he made a couple of silly and costly errors in September and with Hennessey performing well for his country he was called in to replace the former Reading stopper.
McCarthy will now be hoping to fight his way back into the Crystal Palace first-team ahead of Hennessey and Speroni for the Palace game with Everton next Monday.
