Zuberbuhler was brought in as part of Paul Clement’s backroom staff at the iPro Stadium, and he is enjoying working with the club’s goalkeepers.
Carson is currently Derby’s first choice, and Zuberbuhler believes that the former England international has progressed rapidly under his tutelage.
“The improvement in him since he first arrived at the club has been massive," Zuberbuhler said.
“He has improved his body language, making him very dominant within his own box, and he has also made some crucial saves so far this season."
Carson was brought to Derby from Wigan Athletic during the summer transfer window, and he has immediately come into their first team.
Although Lee Grant had proven a capable stopper in the Championship, Clement clearly felt that he needed an upgrade in goal.
So far Carson has impressed in a Derby shirt, making a number of excellent saves over the course of the season so far.
Carson has helped Derby keep the joint-best defensive record in the entirety of England’s second tier – with the Midlands outfit conceding just 11 times in 18 matches.
The solidarity of their team has been the basis of Derby’s success this season, with Clement’s men currently sitting in third place in the Championship table.
