The out-of-favour winger could be set for a return to his homeland.
The Frenchman was made available in the summer, with Championship duo Wolves and Charlton both interested in a loan deal.
He turned down a move to both clubs though, with him keen to try and fight for his place at St James Park at the time.
He has however failed to do that, with his only start coming in the 6-1 loss to Manchester City, while he also featured from the bench in the 5-1 loss to Crystal Palace at the weekend
Despite his lack of game time, Lille are still interested, with them keen to sign an experienced forward, and his available for around £500,000, according to the Chronicle.
Given it has mostly not worked out in England, the winger could be tempted back to his homeland, where had previously excelled.
Newcastle are also evidently keen to get rid of him as well, although given they paid a reported £1.2m for him just two years ago, as reported by the Chronicle, that would be something of a blow to Steve McClaren’s side.
