The Reds are currently sixth in the table and improving rapidly under Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds started the season poorly under former manager Brendan Rodgers, but have picked up since Jurgen Klopp took charge at Anfield.
They are currently sixth in the table on 23 points; just six behind the Premier League’s joint top two, Manchester City and Leicester City.
With the title race seemingly wide open, Moreno says they are capable of competing for the Premier League crown this season, but admits he cannot guarantee that they will.
“Right now I think we can fight to win the Premier League title,” he told Cadena Cope.
“We are in a very good moment and the rivals from who are above us are dropping points. It can happen [winning the title].”
“I do not say 100% that we are going to win it but we can fight for it.”
While the Premier League title race may well be wide open, a more realistic target for Liverpool is a place in the top four.
They are just four points outside of that pack at present, with Arsenal currently occupying that coveted fourth spot.
Their main rivals will surely be Tottenham Hotspur, with the north London outfit currently flying under Mauricio Pochettino and two points ahead of them in fifth place.
Key to any chances will surely be improving their home form, though, with the Reds having only won three league games at Anfield so far this season.
