The Leeds United youngster had a couple of very good performances last month.
The 20-year-old had a disappointing start to the new campaign but he rediscovered his form in sensational fashion as his goals against Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town helped Leeds secure back-to-back victories.
The international break came at the worst possible time and despite continuing their winning form in a specially arranged friendly against Wycombe Wanderers Leeds have since lost 1-0 to both Rotherham United and Queens Park Rangers.
Mowatt has been unable to inspire his side to victory in either of those matches but his performances in early November have been rightly noted, even if he faces tough competition to come out on top.
Among those also shortlisted are Fulham’s Ross McCormack and Cardiff City’s David Marshall and the voting is currently open.
Next up for Leeds is a home match against Hull City, who will be smarting after their 4-1 Capital One Cup defeat to Manchester City this week.
