Watching Liverpool stars congratulated their teammates on a momentous win.

After conceding as early as the first minute against Southampton, Liverpool ran rampant at St Mary's to beat the Saints 6-1.

It sets the Reds up for a two legged Capital One Cup semi-final against Stoke City, with the winner facing a final against Everton or Manchester City.

Winning the trophy is achievable, but certainly won't be easy. Given the way they are playing right now though, there is no fear of anybody, with Jurgen Klopp transforming the team.

Two players who did not take part in the game due to injuries, Joe Gomez and Mamadou Sakho reacted to the club's victory on Twitter.

Gomez is not expected to play again this season after picking up a serious knee injury while on international duty with England's under-21 side.

Sakho meanwhile could be back in time for the semi-final fixtures in January. He is expected to recover from his knee injury in late December, project PremierInjuries.com.
