Liverpool booked their place in the last four of the League Cup with a 6-1 thrashing of Southampton at St Mary's, though after the first 40 seconds which saw the Saints take the lead, you would have been looked at as if you had three heads if you had predicted the end result correctly.
Daniel Sturridge turned the course of the game with a brace that put the Reds ahead after latching on to fine balls from the midfield with Alberto Moreno's strike before half-time giving the visitors a cushion - though Divock Origi seems to have claimed that for the first leg of his hat-trick.
The Belgian lashed home his second after getting on to a through ball from Jordon Ibe - who managed to lash home a fifth as he contributed from the substitutes bench. Brad Smith made only his second appearance and managed to deliver a wonderful ball for Origi to round off the scoring.
The result means Liverpool have won six out of their last seven under Jurgen Klopp, and added another impressive away win to those at Chelsea and Manchester City.
Here's how Liverpool's players rated:
Adam Bogdan - After the first 20 minutes he was a virtual spectator. Not a bad night for him in that case - 6
Connor Randall - Was evidently targeted by Tadic but grew into the game again, like against Bournemouth. Will surely get another chance against Sion - 6
Martin Skrtel - Solid. Nothing more to add. - 7
Dejan Lovren - Seemed to grow with every boo that came his way. Seems to be keeping things simple and it's working - 7
Alberto Moreno - Mane got the run on him easily for the opening goal, improved and scored a terrific strike on the stroke of half time. Might have been Divock Origi's goal, though - 6
Lucas Leiva - He was just Lucas getting into the swing of things after his suspension, really. - 6
Emre Can - Awful in the build-up to the early opening goal, redeemed himself with the ball for Sturridge's second. Rest that comes from suspension of fifth yellow might do him some good - 7
Joe Allen - The side looked better with him on the ball in the turbulent opening stages, great pass sets up the first goal for Sturridge, pulled the strings up until his withdrawal on 70. - 7
Adam Lallana - Typically Lallana, looked pretty bright in possession and showed some intent. Others around him were playing starring roles, though. - 7
Divock Origi - His pace troubles defenders, put in some excellent runs. Argued his case for the third goal, the fourth was certainly his, as was the sixth - big moment for him in his Liverpool career. Looks as though he's put some muscle on - 9.9 (no-one ever gets a perfect 10 from me)
Daniel Sturridge - What a difference he makes to any side. He changed the course of this tie, a good hour from him. Klopp and Liverpool will be hoping this is only the start of a long run for him in the side - 9
Jordon Ibe - First meaningful contribution was a delightful through ball for Origi for the Belgian's goal, then he grabbed one himself. He's loving life at the moment. - 8
Jordan Henderson - Looked a little tired but a nice arena for him to get some more minutes under his belt as he continues his comeback from injury - 6
Brad Smith - What a delivery from him for the sixth goal of the game. Some good minutes under his belt to put his hand up as potential cover in that left-back position - 7
