Could the Liverpool-owned player be on his way to La Liga in the future?

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has already racked up an impressive number of illustrious clubs for a player who is still only 25, but according to a current teammate at loan side AC Milan, he is yet to fulfil his footballing dream.

Balotelli left Liverpool on loan back in August but he was injured after just four appearances and has subsequently been ruled out for three months.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for a player who is unlikely to find his way back into Liverpool’s first-team given the presence of Christian Benteke, Danny Ings and Daniel Sturridge, but according to AC Milan teammate Diego Lopez his dream is to play in La Liga, for one club in particular.

Speaking to Marca Plus, the goalkeeper said, “Mario isn’t like people paint him out to be. He is a nice guy and a good player and you know what? His dream is to play for Real Madrid.”

It remains to be seen if Real dream of bringing the Italian international to the Bernabeu but for now he will be focused solely on getting fit again and then either impressing Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp or finding a new permanent home after too many short stays up to now.
